Catelyn

I need to remember that unlike Catelyn in the show, Catelyn in the books has not shown remorse about her treatment of Jon Snow.

In the context of Westeros, I think Catelyn’s neglect of Jon is majorly and unfortunately justifiable. Bastards are a real threat to legitimate children due to the fact that their society is built on various claims to blood right.

Catelyn seems to be more superstitious than most characters. The way I think of her is that she has a sixth sense for those sort of things. Her intuitions are almost always well grounded upon closer inspection and on a longer timeline than most characters or readers care to consider.
